Kychon is an open-source community portal template operated by Kychee, Inc. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. Kychon portals run on Run402 infrastructure - see the Run402 Privacy Policy for details on infrastructure-level data handling.
Kychee, Inc. collects the following data through Kychon services:
Kychee, Inc. does not have access to the data stored in your portal. Your member directory, announcements, forum posts, events, and uploaded files live in your Run402 project database. We cannot read, modify, or delete your portal data.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not train AI models on your data.
When you deploy a Kychon portal, your members will provide personal data (names, emails, profile information, etc.). This data is stored in your Run402 project, not by Kychee, Inc. directly.
We use the data we collect exclusively for:
Kychon's optional AI features (content moderation, auto-translation, etc.) use your own AI account credentials (OpenAI or Anthropic), stored securely in your Run402 project. Kychee, Inc. does not have access to your AI credentials or to the data processed by those AI services. Your AI usage is governed by the respective provider's terms.
Studio and Pro customer data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe - we never store credit card numbers. Portal data security is provided by Run402's infrastructure (AWS Aurora, S3, CloudFront) with per-project isolation and row-level security.
Kychon services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are building a portal for a community that includes minors, you are responsible for ensuring COPPA compliance in your portal.
We retain Studio and Pro customer data for the duration of your service relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Marketing analytics data is retained in aggregate form. Portal data retention is governed by your Run402 lease - see the Run402 Privacy Policy for details.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by Kychee, Inc. at any time. For data in your portal, you have full control through the Run402 API. For Kychee account-level data, contact privacy@kychee.com.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of Kychon after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
